Svaret afh\u00e6nger af hvilken variant man h\u00f8rer. G\u00e5den er ofte t\u00e6nkt som et humoristisk indslag og bruges til at lufte fordomme, men er der et gran af sandhed i den?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Definition: Ringlemann effekten<\/strong> Tendensen hvor den individuelle performance per individ \u00e6ndrer sig i takt med at teamet \u00e6ndrer sig.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Den franske ingeni\u00f8r <a title=\"Ringlemann Effekten\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ringelmann_effect\" target=\"_blank\">Maximillien Ringlemann<\/a> fandt i 1913 frem til ovenst\u00e5ende definition, som sidenhen blev navngivet \u201dRinglemann effekten\u201d. Hans observation blev understreget med f\u00f8lgende anekdote:<\/p>\n<p>Forestil dig to hold best\u00e5ende af hver 2 personer af omtrentlig samme styrke dyste i tovtr\u00e6kning.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f8rste runde s\u00e6ttes i gang og de to hold begynder at tr\u00e6kke. Hver person tr\u00e6kke efter bedste evne. Marginaler afg\u00f8r hvilket hold der vinder.<\/p>\n<p>Inden n\u00e6ste runde udskiftes bagerste mand p\u00e5 begge hold. Hold 1 f\u00e5r tilf\u00f8jet en stor st\u00e6rk skovhugger mens hold 2 f\u00e5r tilf\u00f8jet en ung konfirmand i stiveste puds.<\/p>\n<p>Anden runde s\u00e6ttes i gang. P\u00e5 hold 1 ved den forreste mand, fra det oprindelige hold, at der st\u00e5r en st\u00e6rk arbejdskraft bag ham og det kan m\u00e5les at hans individuelle tr\u00e6kkraft er nedsat. Han slapper af og overlader ansvaret til den st\u00e6rke skovhugger. P\u00e5 hold 2 opleves en anden tendens. Forreste mand, fra det oprindelig hold, ved at han er n\u00f8dt til at tr\u00e6kke ekstra h\u00e5rdt for at vinde dysten, da holdets nye mand har mindre tr\u00e6kkraft end den tidligere.<\/p>\n<p>Hvilket hold vinder? Hvilket hold er det bedste? Det n\u00e6vner hverken teorien eller anekdoten \u2013 og det er for s\u00e5 vidt ogs\u00e5 uinteressant i denne kontekst.<\/p>\n<p>I mit virke som agile coach har jeg ofte observeret noget tilsvarende hos it-udviklingsteams. Hvis vi udskifter tovtr\u00e6kning med softwareudvikling, den st\u00e6rke skovhugger med en erfaren udvikler og den unge konfirmand med en nyansat \u2013 s\u00e5 har vi en cocktail der kan genkendes i de fleste udviklingsorganisationer. Det er vigtig at v\u00e6re bevidst om denne effekt hvis man \u00f8nsker et effektivt team. Et team bliver s\u00e5rbart hvis alle de sv\u00e6re og tunge opgaver prim\u00e6rt bliver l\u00f8st af de erfarne udviklere og alle de lette opgaver bliver l\u00f8st af de mindre erfarne.
